We are searching for someone who has hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, including custom application development and scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, etc.). Experience with ServiceNow integration development using REST and/or SOAP APIs.

What You'll Do:

This position is responsible for proactively solving complex problems by evaluating, documenting, and translating business requirements into well-architected and efficient technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform, including designing, developing, and implementing custom applications and modules within the ServiceNow platform and integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems. Perform rigorous unit testing and participate in integration and user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions. This position has the potential to work from a Virtual Office (VO) setting or may Telecommute based on the needs of the unit and at the discretion of leadership.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Develop, maintain, and configure ServiceNow components, including workflows, business rules, UI policies, and scripts, to support evolving business processes.
* Develop custom solutions and modules using platform development tools, JavaScript, Glide API, Angular, and related technologies.
* Provide ongoing support for custom ServiceNow applications, address user issues, and implement requested enhancements or modifications.
* Collaborate closely with ServiceNow administrators, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment between development efforts and business needs.
* Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
* Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and best practices, and contribute to the improvement of development processes.
* Troubleshoot & resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow customizations and integrations.
* Create and maintain technical documentation for ServiceNow solutions.
* Assisting other Developers with assignments, technical tasks, training, and establishing best practices.
* Attend status meetings.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge:
* The full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for ServiceNow projects, including planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
* Working within the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, Glide API, Angular, and other relevant technologies.
* REST and SOAP APIs (or other methods for building integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems).
* Relational database structures.

Skills:
* Complex coding of computer programs.
* Complex lifecycle systems design, analysis, and testing procedures.
* Unit testing and integration and user acceptance testing.
* Development and maintenance of technical documentation for custom ServiceNow solutions, including design specifications, code comments, and deployment guides.
* Verbal and written communications.

Abilities:
* Collaborate closely with ServiceNow administrators, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between development efforts and business needs.
* Troubleshoot and resolve development- related issues efficiently.
* Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
* Mentor junior developers on ServiceNow development techniques and best practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum:
* Bachelor’s degree plus 5 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience).

Preferred:
* 2 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, including custom application development and scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, etc.). Experience with ServiceNow integration development using REST and/or SOAP APIs. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)/ ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)/ ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in relevant modules.
