Job Summary:

The Division of Fee for Service Management (DFSM) is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Provider Trainer. This position will conduct technical provider trainings, with oversight from the DFSM Training Manager. The role is ideal for a candidate with claims or medical insurance experience. If you enjoy helping clinicians, medical offices and behavioral providers learn about AHCCCS portal systems this position is perfect for you! This position has the potential to work from a Virtual Office (VO) setting or may Telecommute based on the needs of the unit and at the discretion of leadership.

Job Duties:

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Assist Training Manager in the development of overall training objects for Fee for Service Providers (FFS) and the development of manuals and other training manuals.

* Ensures that training materials are coordinated and current in preparation for the training conducted by this position and that of the Training Manager.

* Develops and maintains tracking mechanisms and outcomes reporting for trainings conducted.

* Travels to FFS providers in remote areas to conduct well established trainings.

* Provides online and conference call training session.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

* Knowledge and experience with the AHCCCS Fee-for-Service program and policies.

* Knowledge of AHCCCS PMMIS system or other claims processing experience may be substituted.

* Ability to design and develop training materials.

* Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Strong Interpersonal, excellent communication and good time management skills.

* Critical-thinker, good problem solving, and decision-making skills.

* Ability to self-manage activities, work tasks, work independently.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Some months experience in technical training of medical claims, healthcare insurance

AZ Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have one year of experience as a trainer, advanced computer-based technology skills, and operational knowledge of PMMIS and the Fee For Service Program.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, a social or behavioral science or other acceptable field of study from an accredited college or university and one year experience in training; additional experience in training or other closely related personnel work may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
