This position is eligible for full-time remote work (including virtual office arrangement).

Job Summary:

The Information Security Architect is responsible for the compliance and design of AHCCCS security posture. This includes the protection of protected data, participating in audits, and design of security elements to meet regulatory policies.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Ensure compliance of NIST, ISO, MARS-E, and other agency cyber security standards.
* Develops and maintains the Information Security planning process and documentation for AHCCCS.
* Participate in internal and external audits relating to cyber security.
* Participate and represent AHCCCS in security meetings and conferences.
* Implements and interprets policies, directives, and procedures.
* Participate in the security review and design for any new products or updates to AHCCCS systems.
* Leads forensic efforts.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

* Thorough working knowledge of information security technologies, industry trends, and best practices in the areas of risk assessments, compliance and vulnerability management.
* Considerable knowledge of specific information protection standards (HIPAA, CGIS, IRS, etc).
* Mastery of cybersecurity framework standards (NIST, ISO, etc).

* Strong customer service.
* Excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills.

* Planning and organizing.
* Documentation.

* Build strong relationships inside and outside of the organization.
* Architect, build, and implement large information security systems.

Arizona drivers license

* Bachelor’s degree plus 10 or more years of experience in information security systems engineering, architecture and design (or equivalent experience). Current and relevant certifications may substitute for 1 year each up to 5 years of experience.

* Certified Information Security Systems Professional preferred.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

* Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.
* Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
* Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
