Job Summary:

The Business Operations Manager supports the Division of Business & Finance (DBF), possessing an understanding of the division's general business operations. The position collaborates with relevant parties in the overall strategic implementation of the division's vision, mission, initiatives, and end goals to maximize the operating potential of the division.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Research operational issues and advise the Assistant Director which may affect the division and recommend solutions. Develop managerial tools, techniques, division policies, procedures & methods to increase efficiency in DBF. In collaboration with division management, develop and implement action plans to achieve divisional
and agency goals.
* Oversee posting of new or revised documents or information to the AHCCCS Website or internal AHCCCS Hub. Monitor requests for clarity and approval.
* Under the direction of the Assistant Director (AD), serve as the division budget manager, monitoring division administrative expenditures. Partner with other divisions to assist with their development and of annual administrative funding requests and monthly division administrative operating plans.
* Serve as Arizona Management System (AMS) manager for division. Regularly attend division huddle boards for all units and provide training to teams to implement AMS best practices. Establish division policies and standards for regular review of lead/lag metrics by management and alignment with huddle boards.
* Recommend expenditures in DBF spending plan. Oversees service for divisions equipment, supplies and secure services for all temporary staff as needed. Prepares purchase requisitions through the APP system accurately and in compliance with the State, AHCCCS and division's guidelines and within the spending plan.
* Maintain employee information tracking spreadsheets, master floor plan document, succession planning reports and supporting documentation, legislative report deliverables in SharePoint, and other reports or documents as instructed.
* Travel: Coordinate and prepare travel arrangements, reservations, registrations, and reimbursements. Complete and submit travel reimbursement for OOD as needed to assure timely submission and employee reimbursement.

Qualifications:

Minimum:
* Four or more years experience in administrative assistance to a senior level manager, budget, or relevant area with increased responsibility over time. At least one year supervisory experience.

Preferred:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and experience in public or personnel administration.

Pre-Employment Requirements:
