Job Summary:

This position is part of DMPS Office of Communication Advocacy, Resolution and Enrollment’s (OCARE) specialized units dedicated to serving the Office of the Client Advocate (OCA), Community Partner - Assistor Organizations (CP-AO) and Provider Services (PS) by resolving problems and responding to inquiries and concerns from high level sources within AHCCCS, AHCCCS providers, state and local government entities, members and community partner organizations.

Job Duties:

* Be the point of contact for Assistors and site administrators who have issues that cannot be resolved via the Call Center. Process and monitor the CP-AO Operations email requests via public folder.
* Responsible for the coordination of letter development, administrative signatures and approvals and execution of delivery including the mailing and electronic record keeping.
* Help develop and conduct Community Assistor training. Researching, developing, writing, testing, updating and publishing, mailing, guidelines, standards and policies for the Community Partner organizations as it relates to their work as HEAplus Assistors. Support SharePoint unit operations.
* Facilitate and direct meetings with AHCCCS work units and other state agencies/organizations to identify Community Assistor Program, system changes, enhancements and participate in the submission of system change requests.
* Provide in depth research and ensure follow through on member, Assistor or provider issues from verbal or written correspondence. From customers as well as applicant issues regarding eligibility, medical care, quality of care or general information inquiries from AHCCCS leadership.
* Coordinate all outreach to Community Partner - Assistor Organizations. Conduct and participate in meetings/training for the Arizona Management System processes. Support and act as a lead to the CP-AO Call Center in the absence of leadership.
* Work with eligibility administration staff, other AHCCCS work units and state agencies/organizations regarding rules practices and joint actions related to CP-AO meetings. Discuss projects, clarify information, resolve and exchange information.

Knowledge:
* Technical writing and reading level specific writing
* SharePoint, ZOOM, Google Suite, Microsoft Office i.e Excel (advanced formatting, tracking changes, use of field codes)
* Health-e-Arizona Plus, Adobe and WebWorks ePublisher
* Federal and State rules and regulations governing the Medicaid (Title XIX) and CHIP (Title XXI) programs
* Federal statutes and regulations and State statute, rules, policies, and procedures
* Project development, organization and prioritization
* Arizona Management System and lean concepts

Selective Preference(s):

Arizona Driver License

Minimum: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D) and one year of Customer Service experience.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree and/or prior experience working with AHCCCS. Public speaking experience and experience working with community partners.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

* Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.
* Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
* Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
