Job Summary:

The Information Services Division (ISD) is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance Manager (QA). The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee a driven quality assurance team working remotely and on-site. This position will manage the day-to-day activities such as application development, executing manual and automation testing, process improvements to promote a result driven environment. As a manager this position will partner with divisions across the agency to fulfill the mission.

Job Duties:

* Responsible for planning, directing and managing a team of employees committed to ensuring quality of the application development, maintenance and enhancements for all PMMIS, Web, EDI/HIPPA and various Imaging application and HEAPlus interfaces to AHCCCS. Establish goals and objectives for the operations of the department and implement strategies to improve the overall efficiency of the department. Ensure State and Federal Legislation that requires system changes are coded and effectively implemented by deadline.

* Directs a remote onshore quality assurance team in writing, reviewing, and executing manual and automation test cases in support of AHCCCS applications and processes. Responsibility for the evaluation of test results against expected results, implements improvements to processes and recommends alternative testing as needed. Drafts, revises and approves test plans while managing to project timelines.

* Coach and develop staff so that project work is completed successfully and staff understand and perform project functions.

* Establish or participate in the establishment of policies and standards development for the division and agency regarding all areas of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Participates in the review of all division policies/procedures/standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

* Knowledge of writing, reviewing, building, designing, and executing manual and automation test cases in support of sprint activities.

* Knowledge of feature development review to analyze requirements, scope and test scenarios.

* Knowledge of strategic planning to develop goals/objectives for the department.

* Knowledge of management principles to mentor and lead staff toward the successful completion of assignments.

* Written and verbal communications skills to allow effective communication with upper management, peers, subordinates, clients, and customers.

* Ability to establish and maintain effective policies and procedures regarding the operations of the department.

* Ability to plan based on the goals and objective of the department.

Selective Preference(s):

* Managed care or Medicaid experience.

* Multiple years of experience in a Quality Analyst role.

* Over two years of management experience

* Prior experience with test automation.
