Salary: $33,435 - $40,000

Job Summary:

The Division of Health Care Management (DHCM) is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Business Operations Specialist. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Division of Health Care Management (DHCM) by assisting in the action plans to achieve divisional and agency goals. This position will serve as a DHCM Business Partner analyzing business operations and identifying customer needs.

Job Duties:

* Serves as a DHCM Business Partner to liaison with Human Resources and Development with regard to all personnel actions. Provide guidance to division management regarding classification compensation, recruitment, employment and staffing issues.

* Oversee records retention and archiving for division as per records retention schedule and agency policy.

* Assists with developing and coordinating assigned DHCM projects and activities with other AHCCCS divisions.

* Track and monitor departments budget request expenditures, procurement and recruitment requisitions.

* Reviews and processes purchasing requisitions for approval.

* Assists with preparing and maintaining operational guidelines to ensure compliance with AHCCCS, state and federal rules and regulations.

* Plan and coordinate activities at the divisional level. Coordinate and direct office equipment procurement and replacement for the division.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

* Organizational structure of State government and management practices

* Principles of effective written and verbal communication

* Excellent verbal and written communication

* Project management and control

* Handle multiple work assignments and effectively change priorities

* Principles, concepts and current practices of State government, including legislative and administrative processes, contracts, laws, rules and regulations.

Selective Preference(s):

* Two years of administrative work experience in State government.
