Job Summary:

The Division of Health Care Management (DHCM) is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Business Analysis Supervisor. The position will supervise the partnership of business and technology leaders to establish policies, practices and organizational change to promote data sharing between agencies within limitations imposed by statutes and the regulatory environment. Will champion the implementation of data management framework based on industry-wide standards and drive strategic engagement of AHCCCS data and information governance. Will oversee the creation and maintenance of technical documentation. This position has the potential to Telecommute based on the unit needs. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Supervises the staff by defining and establishing schedules, setting priorities, providing support/direction and dealing with administrative issues as needed

* Collaborate with line of business data owners to assess, prioritize and mitigate risks that may affect business operations and regulatory compliance resulting from data quality issues

* Drive efforts to educate executives, employees, and customers the strategic value of data and its important role as a business asset and decision-making tool along with a thorough knowledge of interrelationships among various internal and external organizational functions

* Coaches team members on performance, completes employee performance evaluations and recommends pay actions

* Establish and monitor data quality efforts and provide a central leadership for the resolution of data issues and develops methods to monitor program or area progress and takes corrective actions

* Monitor data related system initiatives including planning and/or implementation of programs. Assess vendor offering in the data software, tools or services space.

* Trains staff on operational procedures and troubleshooting techniques

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

* Back-office server applications, desktop applications, web-based applications, client/ server applications

* computer/networking hardware and standard operating systems

* common third-party software applications, internally developed custom applications, application integrations

* Analyzing data, policy and procedure and their application to data governance

* Managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines and prioritizing workload

* Operate with no supervision in a complex environment

* Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization

Qualifications:

Minimum:
* Bachelor’s degree plus 3 or more years of experience in related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Pre-Employment Requirements:

* Successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify), applicable to all newly hired State employees.
* Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
* Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.
