The Information Services Division (ISD) is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Sr. Business Developer in the Business Intelligence unit. This position will work closely with teams throughout the Agency to identify business intelligence reporting needs in order to turn data into effective actions. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Design standard and/or custom reports; evaluate customers’ needs and provide input into business requirements; analyzes data and identifies patterns, relationships, anomalies and trends; provide subject matter expertise for key BI core functions analyzes test results to ensure solutions meet the needs of the customers
*Work on moderately to highly complex business intelligence (BI) solutions; participate in planning process including inception, development, testing and delivery of solutions; develop and analyses business intelligence needs; evaluate and improve work flow processes
*Knowledge of business intelligence concepts, practices and procedures, including general methodologies and techniques for data analysis and design, requirements gathering, quality assurance, and report development
*Provide input to the development of quality metrics; research tools, framework, mechanisms for data analytics
*Experience developing and designing reports and dashboards from a data warehouse environment using tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau and/or Cognos
*Proven ability to analyze complex data, identifying trends, make recommendations and deliver presentations of the complex material in a clear and effective manner
*Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external customers, partnering with staff across the Agency to gather reporting requirements and analysis of data
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
* Proficient experience in the utilization of business intelligence applications; strategies for achieving effective data acquisition, management, quality, storage, use and application
* Skilled in technical assistance to business partners
* Demonstrated experience in statistical and business analysis
* Proven ability to plan, organize and prioritize projects, evaluating information and making recommendations
* Extensive knowledge of applicable laws, rules, policies regarding security, privacy, and management of confidential data
*Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Economics or health care related field
*Two to three years of experience in a business intelligence or data analysis role
