Office of the General Councel (OGC)

The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is responsible for providing distinct services for the AHCCCS Program. OGC attorneys provide legal counsel to the AHCCCS Administration and furnish legal advice to AHCCCS regarding the many aspects of the AHCCCS Program and its operations. In addition, OGC oversees the AHCCCS administrative dispute resolution process and grievance and appeals system, assuring applicants, members, providers and other participants receive due process. OGC is also responsible for facilitating compliance with privacy and confidentiality requirements as well as responding to public records requests. Finally, OGC oversees the Agency’s rulemaking process, drafting and promulgating new and amended regulations found in the Arizona Administrative Code and representing the Agency before the Governor’s Regulatory Review Council.
